Give to the Max Day was a huge success for Haiti

Coon Rapids, MN, December 9, 2012— Fr. Reiser’s family and the volunteers at Reiser Relief, Inc. are working together to keep Fr. Reiser’s legacy of helping the poor in Haiti alive.

Give to the Max Day on November 15, 2012 was a terrific success for Reiser Relief, Inc. This on-line giving event, organized by GiveMN.org, encourages Minnesotans to give to non-profit organizations.

Reiser Relief raised $23,995 in online donations and over $24,000 in offline donations for a total of over $48,000! GiveMN.org ranks organizations in total funds raised on-line. Reiser Relief came in 81st place out of over 4,000 non-profits and in 17th place among medium sized non-profits.

The goal of Reiser Relief, Inc., was to begin raising funds to construct the Father Reiser Memorial Elder Care Facility in Titanyen, Haiti. In just one day, over half the funds needed for this project were raised.

Reiser Relief, Inc. hosted a Give to the Max day kickoff event on November 14. Over 200 supporters gathered at the Wayzata Country Club to learn more about the organization and to pledge support to help the poorest of the poor in Haiti.
